Under the Lebanon Industry Value Chain (LIVCD) Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), Beyond Beirut developed a strategy document for Rural Tourism in Lebanon in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the consultation of more than 150 tourism stakeholders. The project came within the framework of the LIVCD “Cooperation and Common Action in Rural Tourism” activity implemented in collaboration with Hospitality Services and Lebanon Traveler between January and September 2014. The document suggests key directions and practical actions that could be implemented in the next five years to improve the competitiveness of rural tourism in Lebanon.
